Designed a hydraulic cylinders lift system for raising and lowering the ramp, an integrated load locking safety system, and solid industrial lugged tires, the auto ramp is built to meet all ANSI and OSHA requirements. The ramp is also built with a state-of-the-art design with no chains, cables, or weak points that could cause service and performance issues in operations. The integrated load locking safety system secures overall ramp angles and protects against movement in the system while in use. The approach and departure ramps and the bridge plates are all proportionally controlled with smooth, precise raising and lowering functions. The Autorack Loading Ramp is built to support current industrial machine standards and has a 12,000-lb. capacity – more than sufficient for even the bulkiest commercial vehicles.
The Greenfield Products Autorack Loading Ramp does not require an operator platform. All operations – driving, positioning of the ramps, hydraulics, etc., can be performed via the remote control. This keeps the operator out of harm’s way and safely out of the path of the unloading vehicular traffic. The removal of the operators station also removed the impediment of traffic between railcars.
The auto ramp is engineered with 4-wheel-drive and 4-wheel steer. The unit can traverse drive from track to track, which reduces downtime and keeps the unit in operation during rail car changes. The auto ramp can be remotely driven up to the rail car, and then with the same, easy-to-use controls, smoothly raised to the appropriate deck. It can accommodate all configurations of autoracks – single, bi-level or tri-level, and allows the cars to be drive on or off from each level of the auto rack in quick succession.

Introducing our Autorack Loading Ramp into your rail operation is easy and painless. Because it is engineered with a collapsible main lifting frame, the entire unit ships fully assembled, and is both self-off loadable and self-erecting, so no additional equipment or personnel are necessary. And the auto ramp is built to last. Galvanized expanded metal decking on the ramp portion means no joints or welds, which eliminates the need for repainting, while allowing snow, dirt, and debris to fall through. The entire ramp is constructed of heavy duty channel steel, for years of continuous, reliable operation. Greenfield Products can also complete each ramp with any required with safety, speed limit, and warning decals and/or the customer logo, upon request. Like all of Greenfield Products’ custom-engineered solutions, the Auto Ramp is built with safety, functionality and longevity in mind.
